Re: [compost_tea] Digital Microscope
It is CRITICAL to have the ABBE condensor, with maximum numerical aperature.
Ask anyone who has taken a microscope course if they could see all the
bacteria that were actually there before they shadowed using the iris diaphragm.
They couldn't. They couldn't begin to hope to see the protozoa, and MANY of the
fungi are not visible either.
You need to come take a miscrope class. It just isn't possible to explain
things in writing sometimes. You need to be shown.
And we're adding a microscope camera like Malcolm Beck had at the Texas
Tea-Off. It was so great, and inexpensive too! Come to the class, and I can show
you how to set this up. Or go talk to Malcolm. He has HOURS of footage of
what we recorded, and what he's recorded. Great material. He needs to put
together a CD with all the critters and the picutres he's taken!
And Malcolm still makes the best static compost I've ever seen! You want
lessons on how to make static compost? Go learn from Malcolm!
