[compost_tea] Re:Re: Searching for basic instructions on compost tea brewing

Couple years ago I took issue with Dr Brinton on his characterization of ACT
and his lack of response to this list serve.  I still do.  Tom's email today
is excellent news that the good doctor, inventor of the solvita test, is
still tuned in to compost tea, though somewhat archaically.  He's also
advertised in the latest Tilth journal for testing compost teas, any stripe,
apparently.

It's not clear from the report summary when the compost tea was foliar or
soil applied, but I'm glad to see "cattle compost" as a source worked in
every instance, and even chicken manure was ok, apparently tested
separately.  Why has Dr Brinton not pushed back on USNOP's insistence that
all compost teas are raw manure?

What does he have to offer up for a good real time test of home garden or
farm-made teas, steeped, stirred or aerated?

And Steve Bridges, where is that report on the Texas tea-off?  I hear it's
good.
