Re: [compost_tea] OOther choices thanchlorine and chloramine
Some cities have used other means to sterilize water- Ozone and UV are possibly the best, least expensive and most effective with zero bad side effects? Anyone know more about this? What a helluva price we pay to keep obsolete system in service to benefit the entrenched suppliers. If political leadership was what is needed political leadership could redevelope - reform - existing suppliers to produce the better products. No big economic disasters for anyone and much better health for all of us.
Of course better health is a bad side effect for some companies. Bob

It is really nice to live in a city that uses neither, except when
testing shows contamination in the system.
They had to chlorinate for a few months this last spring, and I was
reminded how much more annoying life was when I lived other places, I
had to dig out all my old chlorine filters.
