[compost_tea] humus/fulvic acid?

I picked up this statement from one of the tech papers from the terravita s=
ite.

"A brief synopsis of recent research indicating that fulvic acids are only =
"created" through extraction techniques and are not naturally present in so=
il, peat, or lignite."

If you read the article on humates, you are led to believe that fulvic acid=
s are the primary working mechanisms in the soil yet these are not extracte=
d by any natural process. I may be misreading the intents of both articles =
so if you have a better take on them, please let me know.
