I'm just catching up on the digest and would remind folks Hahn's treatment
for SOD, which can happen to many trees and shrubs besides oaks, apparently,
is primarily a root zone applied chitin-spiked vermicompost, 1 inch thick,
as I recall. Tea is used as a further bio-stimulant but is not primary. He
also suggests transmission is via air, which would also explain all other
paths.
I believe the same method can work on phylloxera.
And yes, Jerry, please delete the rest of the digest when you reply. Makes
it a lot easier to read...
