[compost_tea] Re: A new literature review on compost teas for disease suppression
Steve, Thanks, I found the review very interesting. Once again we who
are invloved in ACT find ourselves without much research support.
"General statements about the efficacy of ACT's cannot be made and
further work is required in order to determine their potential for
controlling foliar disease."
The following link from the document does not work but I find the
statement alarming!
"There is continuing debate over whether compost extracts
and teas require to be registered with the pesticide authorities
(e.g., The Pesticides Safety Directorate in the UK,
www.pesticides.gov.uk/applicant/aahip/aahl10333.htm)."
This issue is very important. I've poked around the UK site
extensively with no luck. Any leads on a correct URL?
Regards,
Tom Jaszewski
