Workshop: Compost Tea—Microbiology, Production, Quality Assessment
and Applications
Workshop attendees will learn the basics of compost tea microbiology,
mechanisms of plant disease
suppression, compost tea production equipment and inputs, quality
assessment tools, and case studies of
specific applications and research.
Instructors:
Cindy Salter, Research Director for Growing Solutions, Inc .in
Eugene, Oregon and Executive Director
of the Compost Tea Industry Association (CTIA) and Compost Tea
Education and Research Foundation
(CTERF) will moderate and co-present this workshop.
Vicki Bess/Brantlee Richter of BBC Laboratories in Tempe, Arizona,
will provide an overview of the
microbiology of compost tea and its role in plant disease suppression.
Tyler Tuttle of Biorem, Inc, will present nuts & bolts information on <=
BR>
how they produce, market and apply
compost tea in their business in Holden, Utah.
