Too many people expect compost tea microbiology to be better than their compost's.  It should have higher numbers, yes, but if there is no diversity,  for example, or low numbers in the first place, the tea won't have it either. You have to start out with compost (using Doc's
terminology, if it is not good compost, it isn't compost. Yes you can
substitute Vermicompost and Alaska Humus for "compost").
