Tax Shifting Project and Sustainable Energy Policy
- In Minnesota, ILSR works with Minnesotans for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ME3) a coalition of organizations working for sustainable energy policies in Minnesota. ILSR is currently involved in several projects with ME3 that include: Ecological Tax Reform, and writing and publishing ME3's newsletter Sustainable Minnesota. Newspaper Columns by David Morris
David Morris is the vice-president of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. He has published four books, including The New City-States, and has authored and co-authored dozens of technical reports, including The Carbohydrate Economy: Making Chemicals and Industrial Materials from Plant Matter.
Morris is also a regular columnist for theSaint Paul Pioneer Press, and his columns have appeared in more than 100 newspapers and magazines, includingSmithsonian, Utne Reader, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Journal of Commerce, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times.
