Re: REQUEST: Vicia cracca information

In reponse to the birdvetch question...it's a native species here, but doesn't
usually amount to much unless we go messing about with an old sod. Once
we destroy the old cover the birdvetch appears, very dense in places. However,
it doesn't tolerate frequent harvesting, even 3 cuts of alfalfa is enough
to wipe out most of the volunteer birdvetch. We have seen this happen several
times as we have renovated old pastures.
