Problems with hay grown on land prevoiusly planted to ginseng

I am a hay producer and horse breeder in the North Okanagan valley, area
of Armstrong , B.C. and have heard stories about horses being poisoned after
being fed hay that was taken off land previously planted in ginseng.I would
be interested in any information about toxicity problems related to this.
Also, are these problems evident in cattle, do chemical residues affect
grain crops, pasturing of animals or is there any danger of water table
contamination?Any information would be appreciated or suggestions on who
else one could contact[I have also tried Klaus Broersma - B.C. Forage
Council. Thankyou.
