Re: Moratorium Called on Genetically Modified Foods
There are millions of folks that don't eat pork it would not hurt to tell
folks this plant has a pork gene in it. They label food now. Look around
most of the food in the store has a label on it. This is nothing new. Some
folks don't want to much fat some folks don't want to much salt etc I don't
want one drop of pork or lab made bgh etc. So the label helps these folks
tell what is in their food. Easy if you splice a virus or a pork or meat
gene in a plant let us know so we can have the choice . It should be our
choice not some chemical companies or the USDA but our choice. Most rules
they make take away our rights but this would give us the right to know.
They should label their stuff just to keep track of it. If it was the same
as regular breeding why did it take so long for the USDA to let them release
the stuff.
Why do they have to use so much pressure to get the USDA to release the
stuff.. Its been years in the making but now they are releasing transgentic
stuff like crazy. If its just breeding as usual why do they have to get
permission to release it . Because it is not the same and that is why it
should carry a label. Where is the FDA when you need them. Salt is
important ,fat is important IMHO a pork gene or a virus gene is being added
to my food is also very important. come on science does not always know what
is good for me they are not God . If they can change the DNa of a plant
they can also label it so that we that don't want to eat meat or pork or
even a virus can have a choice. Your right frankenstein is not the right
name for these things. frankenstein at least used human parts to put the
human together where as these folks uses parts from anything and mix them
with anything changing the DNA of the things and then not wanting the people
who have to eat it to know what they did the put it out with no label. That
is not right. Sneaky people calling their selves scientist don't want us to
know what they are doing to our food, animals, insects, viruses, etc. Sneaky
Sneaky Sneaky not good science at all.You that think there are no flaws in
scientific methods think again.
