Re: organically grown meat
This response is way over the top. I've been mostly vegetarian for
decades but it is ridiculous to condemn meat eating out of hand. How are
Inuit to survive? The diet should reflect the surplus of a sustainable
lifestyle in that place, eating as low on the food chain as is
reasonable to reduce human impact and maintain optimum health. I hope
that the original poster will not be put off in his search by this
inconsiderate response. The real irony here is that I am probably
opening myself to flaming from animal rightists who would claim that
vegetarianism makes them less aggressive. Let it be known that I will
not respond to such posts, but am willing to discuss the issue of
vegetarianism and sustainability in various ecosystems as a problem that
I think has yet to be worked out.
