As I think I have replied before, if by elements you mean ions, that is
not true. Plant cells, like cells of all living tissue, man or animal,
take in nutrients from the rhizosphere by ENDOCYTOSIS, and it is about
time everyone dealing with plants accepted this fact. This is also the
way N-fixing bacteria enter root cells of legumes (and other N-fixing
plants where Frankia is the operative, rather than Rhizobium)
The literature is available. All should read it, and see with their own
eyes the evidence electron microscopes now can give us.
