The problem is that he publishes the opinions of butterfly experts on
the subject of electricity and mining; the opinions of a computer
developer and his wife on demographics, and so on.  None of Hanson's
genuine scientists are being quoted on their own fields of competence.
Most of the quotations Jay gives, of course, are from Jay Hanson who
is an expert in nothing, even though he often writes his "footnotes"
in ways which obscure this fact.

Yes, but Mason puts the case too strongly.  It is certainly
demonstrated that the few dozen in Hanson's little clique are.
