In a few years the screen will be better but the text layouts will
probably not get better as quick.

I have read some of his articles and his webpage and from those I
suspect that he lacks an understanding of some of the material he has
been reading and posting and a basic understanding of entropy and
scale. He do have good skills for writing in a moving way and finding
things that realy sound terrible. He could do a lot more if his
understanding of the world were more accurate, from my point of view
of course, I am no authority on Jay Hanson. He sees a problem that do
excist, he has some ideas on how it could be fixed but some of them
feels broken and plain hostile to other humans. Perhaps it is only
extreme pessimism combined with his misunderstanding about how entropy
works?

Of course not, if they do their science with good quality.
But their are thousands of jerks in pseudo sciences filled with people
using the wizardly looking language and attributes of real scientists
without any substance. I am very sure there are small "greenpeace":s
out there who carefully craft what they say so that it will raise as
much funds or income as possible. People in general and Jay Hanson has
to learn more on their own to recognice them, otherwise they will
waste much of their time on things that dosent help the environment or
other people.

I am sure there are plenty of ecological hazards. That is one of the
reasons I promote enviromentally friendly power production among other
things. See you in sci.energy and sci.environment.
