Beyond the Last Fencerow booklet
Thanks to all who have responded to our release about the new booklet, Beyond the Last Fencerow.
I made a little mistake that I hope inconveniences no-one. You see, that release was written for a different audience, medium and purpose, then just copied onto the SANet board without any consideration given to how its meaning is changed by putting it before a different audience in a different medium.
Specifically, we intended to offer a free copy of the booklet to any member of the press interested enough in the issue to write about it. One book, used this way, could enlighten hundreds of thousands of people. We also wanted to get it to policymakers, legislators and educators.
Trouble is, my message is probably now flying around cyberspace and landing goodness knows where, with an offer to send a book to the recipient, whoever he or she may be. I would love to be able to send a booklet to everyone who wants one, but it's possible that we may have to prioritize, given that we have only a few thousand. (It's also possible that overwhelming demand might motivate someone to fund a second printing.)
If you have sent the booklet announcement to other places, please send this along too. Thanks, everyone.
