You're both wrong. There is a lot of evidence especially about
Singapore that it's state-directed growth is headed for a crash. One
of the problems with this sort of economy is when the people at the
top screw up the whole system comes crashing down. Singapore appears
to realize it's got some serious mistakes on its hand, but whether it
can react quickly enough is yet to be seen.
