I'm not sure that I suggest anything.  It is apparent from the lessons of 
history that governments and cultures have a life cycle of their own.  Once 
a bureaucracy gets to a certain point, it seems likely that it will 
continue to the point that it causes society to fall under its own weight. 
I can't give exact references, but a library search for the former great 
societies (e.g., Greece, Rome, etc.) will clearly indicate that we in the 
U.S. are apparently following their example.  Just because I can't do 
anything about this problem doesn't mean that I have to like it.  Thus, I 
am inclined to occasionally get on my soap-box about this issue, even if it 
doesn't change anything.

If I gave you any platitudes or political buzz phrases, I apologize.
