It is a mistake to fool around with anything that talks about cation
exchange, and for an organic grower it is sheer hypocrisy.
All that stuff about cec etc is based on the idea that only ions can be
absorbed by plants, which is a lie.
Plants do not need to have their nutrients broken down to ions first,
before they can be absorbed. By endocytosis all living cells can absorb
nutrients, however large size, and in nitrogen fixation even entire
organism is absorbed by the same method--endocytosis.
All organic growers should simply stop all references to cation affairs in
absorption.
