I heard the USDA is reviewing its first requests to test a genetically
engineered arthropod. This USDA will set the precedent for the oversight of
this group of engineered animals. AT present I don't think the USDA staff
plan to hold either an official public comment period or hearing on this
important application and intends only to issue a notice in the Federal
Register once the decision is made. you know what happen when rBST was
released many more genetically engineered insects will soon follow. Just
think last year they put on this big act that they were worried about
natural insects now the big money boys have found out that the only way
they can make big bucks is to own an insect and how does one own an insect
easy add a gene or two. genetically engineered it you know the way the do
seed . That way they can paten it. Look how easy they got folks to think
their genetically engineered insects are the same as natural insects . I was
wondering why they put on that show to lower restrictions . Boy are they
smart . Now the genetically engineered bugs get to slide right in. They to
my understanding have already shown that some of their genetically
engineered plants are crossing with wild plants easy now to destroy natural
beneficial insects in the name of more money. That's were all the research
money will go because the big money boys can't own a natural insect they
have to build one. Makes me sad to see all that good money spent on
something that could be so harmful. . Well here it comes, first the trans
genic mite then the medfiles then the mosquitoes and honey bees there is
nothing we cannot alter in the lab and release on mankind. The got a human
mouse.Hey remember The Fly and Frankenstein and you thought they were just
movies. : >
