Hi Sal, thanks for calling. Fax a letter to the Toxics and
Pesticide Committee with your request to release organic growers of the
fee they have to pay to farm organic.
You can find all the Senators email
addresses at http://www.sen.ca.gov/www/leginfo/finger.html This homepage
makes it easy to be heard just type the last name and go to that Senate
members homepage. There you can usually leave email. hope this helps as
the debate is going on now
. Take a sec. and help organic farmers in Ca.

Sample letter Dear Senator Smith:
 I am a (farmer-concerned citizen) . I am very concerned about the
pesticide mil tax debate currently taking shape in Sacramento. I encourage
you to support re authorization of the Department of Pesticides
Regulations mil tax. I support directing pesticide mil tax funding to
covering the registration fees of organic growers for the California
Organic Program. Because organic growers are such an important aspect of
pesticide-use reduction goals in California, we should be supported by the
state rather than discouraged by another obstacle. I urge you to vote for
continuing the Department of Pesticide Regulations mil tax with money
earmarked for programs that develop and extend alternative farm management
techniques, including eliminating registration fees for COP and
substituting funding with mil taxes. Please let me know if I can count on
your support of these programs Sincerely Sal Schettino main street USA
