NATIONAL FAMILY FARM COALITION (NFFC)
                                                  PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The National Family Farm Coalition (NFFC)  is an organization comprised of 35
family farm and rural advocacy organizations from across the country who joined
together in 1986 to work together to change federal farm and food policy.  The
office is located in Washington, D.C.

NFFC is seeking an energetic Program Director to facilitate NFFC and member
organizations’ efforts to develop strategies and actions that impact state and
federal legislation and policies affecting the production, pricing, marketing,
and processing of agricultural commodities with the goal of increasing family
farm income and keeping farm families on the land.

The Program Director will facilitate members’ participation in advocating NFFC
positions on policy issues; work with member organizations in local actions and
activities necessary to implement a coordinated and effective national campaign
on NFFC priority issues and assist member organizations in organizing direct
action campaigns.  The person filling this position would work with and assist
the Executive Director in communicating with member organizations, media, and
others on issues affecting family farmers.

Candidates must possess a knowledge or experience in agricultural issues,
experience in campaign organizing and grassroots organizing, commitment to
social and economic justice and to building a long-term, permanent organization
of farm leader activists, and excellent computer and word processing skills.

Salary:  $25,000+ depending on experience, excellent benefits including health,
dental, and vacation.
