MESA, a non-profit organization that sponsors international farmers
for one-year live/work positions on US organic farms, is actively
seeking prospective host farms for one young Lithuanian farmer whose.
participation has been delayed(We thought we had him placed but the position collapsed just one week
before "Nerijus" was due to arrive in the US.).
Nerijus is 19 yrs. old, very friendly, hard-working, and has good
English skills. He hopes to acquire new skills in organic farming in
order to help his family convert their livestock farm into a diversi-
fied eco-tourist demonstration facility. His interests and skills are
in Field/Forage crops, tree fruits and vegetables.
In exchange for full-time work (48hrs/wk) and satifying cross-cultural
exchange,MESA's participating host farmers provide room and
board for their exchange farmer, and also send $675/month to MESA as
a program fee. MESA, in turn, provides every exchange farmer with $300
monthly stipends, full health insurance, educational seminars, legal
documentation, domestic transportation and ongoing administrative
support. Host farms incur no payroll taxes.
If your farm is interested in finding out more about Nerijus and/or
MESA's great new program, please contact us right away:
