ORGANIC/WILDCRAFTING FESTIVAL

THE WILD BLACKBERRY FESTIVAL - July and August, 1996 - Washington and
Vancouver,
B.C.

Announcing the 4th Annual Wild Blackberry Festival, a three week event this
July and August. We follow the phases of the moon as in the Old Farmers
Almanac. We encourage involvement during this educational event produced by
a
non-profit, floating, multi-media complex. We put out a call for
participation
for the public event held in Pt. Roberts, Washington and at Jericho Beach,
Vancouver.

We are considering speakers, musicians, entertainment, booths of educational
material and representation on gardening, farming, wildcrafting, etc. We are
seeking artists and craftspeople to submit entries to the Art Eco exhibit
that
features the wild and harvest.

Donations of gardening books, printed matter, seeds, tools, etc. for sharing
with the public during or for special events of the day are greatly
appreciated. Booths for environmental organizations are reserved on special
terms. Music is donated. Sale of artwork is represented. Donation of art is
gratefully received for sale and auction.

Come to Jericho Beach for an old-fashioned country fair. We'll have crafts,
food, traditional folk music, a herb walk and information on our water
resources. We're encouraging organic garden practices, composting
techniques,
safe preserving and fine baking from the harvest of your garden, as well as
harvest from wild sources. Enjoy a better understanding of our common
environment and hear how to take better care of your soil. We guarantee you
a
wild time!

What will you find at a Wild Blackberry Festival? You can enter a
blackberry
poetry contest... or a blackberry pie eating contest. Learn water safe
practices for our inland seas. Listen to some great jazz, toe tappin' Celtic
music, baroque, some rockin'country. Or, watch craftspeople display their
skills. The Wild Blackberry Festival has something for everyone.

The Wild Blackberry Festival is a production of "The Daily Planet, network"
(an
organization completely separate from the BBS of a similar name from which
this
message is originating). "The Daily Planet, network" has produced an
environmental television series about how you can make a real contribution to
solving the problems we share in common all over this small planet of ours.

We have also proposed a multi-media complex that will function as a
clearinghouse for
international environmental news, environmental art, watertesting, and
information. We offer you an opportunity to support a critical, world-wide
environmental networking service.
