Paradise Farm Organics, an Idaho-based producer of organic food items, has
placed its line of organic backpacking meals -- Backcountry Ecocuisine -- on
the Internet with a World Wide Web site at the following address, or URL:
http://members.aol.com/ecocuisine
The new Web site includes descriptions and prices for the entire line of
Backcountry Ecocuisine's lightweight and nutritious trail meals, including
Couscous and Lentil Curry, Falafel, Italian Polenta, Classic Split Pea Soup
and Kettle Chili. Breakfast meals include Wildberry Griddle Cake Mix and
Outrageous Outback Oatmeal, and there are several drinks, desserts and
appetizers to choose from, including Strawberry Cooler, Salsa Grande and
Instant Chocolaty Mousse.
Background information and some history on the family-operated Paradise Farm
in Moscow, Idaho, is included at the site, where owner-operator Mary Jane
Butters describes the farm she bought in 1986. "We love the 'step back in
time' feel of Paradise Farm, with its many outbuildings, fruit and nut trees,
and turn of the century farmhouse. Here we hand mix and package all the
Paradise Farm foods," she explains.
The Web site includes "Letters to Paradise" from backpacking customers
reporting on their far-flung adventures and an order form for purchasing
organic meals for the trail.
Backcountry Ecocuisine is a featured sponsor of Farmer's Market Online, an
Internet-based shopping service for farm-direct and home-direct produce,
specialty foods, crafts, books and other items. The Web address, or URL, for
