Re: Attacks on organic researchers?



This issue is, in fact, far broader than the fate of organic researchers.
In the Land Grant system, at least, it goes to the very roots of what the
system ought to be doing, publicly funded as it is.  As I understand it,
it was founded to serve the people--most of whom, at the time, were both
rural and farmers.  It seems to be almost unanimously accepted now that
the Land Grant system exists to serve the "Agricultural Industry."  That's
a far cry from the objectives of the founders, and increasingly difficult
