"Hempseed Nutrition" by Lynn Osburn. Produced by Access Unlimited, PO Box
1900, Frazier Park, CA, 93225.
Hempseed is the highest of any plant in essential fatty acids at 80%.
Hempseed oil is among the lowest in saturated fats at 8%.
Hemp butter puts our peanut butter to shame for its nutritional value.
The complete protein in hempseed gives the body all the essential amino
acids required to maintain health....
Hempseed was used to treat nutritional deficiencies brought on by
tuberculosis.
The energy of life is in the whole seed. Hempseed foods taste great and
will insure we get enough essential amino acids, and essential fatty
acids, to build strong bodies and immune systems, and to maintain health
and vitality.
End extract.
If I were a vegetarian I would eat as much hemp seed as possible.
It is readily available in health food shops in the UK.
If nothing but hemp were grown it would not be the end of the human race,
in any case that wasn't quite what I was advocating.
As to pesticides, I can't find the quote.
However, since it has been grown since 8000BC, at least, then it is
pretty obvious that pesticides are not required as there were no
pesticides around at that time.
