brain for hire

Dear SANET-MG,

I'm about to finish my Ph.D. in Plant Biology at University of
California,Davis, and I want to move into the area of sustainable agriculture
for a number of reasons. Naturally I'm looking for a postdoc position and I
thought I would post my skills here on the chance that they might fit
someone's needs.

What I have to offer a project:
1. Skills in plant extractions and analysis (HPLC, immunoassay etc).
2. Knowledge of the field of flowering physiology.
I also have a working knowledge of molecular biology and have training in
plant anatomy/development, plant cell biology and biochemistry, plant
physiology, and phycology. I am quite able and willing to study up on any
area/subdiscipline in which I am deficient.

What I hope to gain from a postdoc project:
1. Experience in field studies and soil science.
2. A chance to work at the whole-plant and systems levels.

I am looking for either a funded project or a project for which I can write a
USDA/NSF posdoc fellowship proposal. Any information or advice would be most
appreciated.

Thank you,

David Van Tassel
