potato blight, among other things

Talking of potato blight, a most prevelent scurge of potatoes, I have
cured and prevented the spread of potato blight on a organic garden by
watering the potatoes with a diluted solution of tea tree essential oil
(1 drop in watering can). It really works, honest! and not just on
potato blight. I have used it for mold on greenhouse plants and
seedlings, and for rashes and septic cuts. it is an excellent anti
fungal and bacterial.
For bad infected cuts that allopathic medicine would give a course of
antibiotics, tea tree oil can be used directly on the wound, leave
unbandaged for the air to dry the wound.
Make sure you use tea tree oil diluted with some vegetable oil on kids
and young animals skin as it is a very potent oil.

However:
I'm not sure how long tea tree would work if sprayed on an otherwise
'conventional' field of taties, or rather how long would it take for
potato blight fungus to mutate in such a warped ecosystem as a
monoculture field blasted with chemicals. Now that would be some 'full
on' fungus. Perhaps then some chemical company could systhesis a varient
of tea tree oil that could kill the new badder potato blight. and so
on...I dont think 'mad cow disease' has evolved yet in USA etc yet, has
it ? This 'disease' is so virulent that many doctors will not perform
autopsies on victims of mad cow disease related illness, CJD, which it
now seems spreads from cows/beefstock:

"During the post mortem, extreme care must be taken because the disease
is incredibly infectious. The pathologist wears a mask, goggles, gloves,
boots and a plastic apron and any instruments that have been used on
patients suffering from CJD have to be thoroughly sterilised. For
example, the silver needles used for the EEG (brain examination) must be
treated with high pressure steam for prolonged periods of time or put
through six successive heat cycles in a steriliser. Even then there is
no guarantee of destroying the infection. If contaminated instruments
are used on another patient (which they will be if the person was not
visibly ill with CJD), the disease can, and indeed has been,
transferred.
CJD is so feared by some people in the medical profession that they have
refused to perform autopsies on patients suspected of dying from it.
Some hospitals have even refused to admit patients suffering from it"

The organism that is 'mad cow disease' are proteins that are called
'prions'. Milking cows in 'conventional' farming systems were being fed
on recycled cow carcases, kept continuosly in milk production, with very
limited freedom. After 20 years of this regime they develop 'mad cow'
prions in their brains.
Anyway you get the message (hopefully): unnatural treatment of plants
and animals causes us to mutate to survive, sometimes into some pretty
fearsome critters; and this process is just mother nature setting the
balance (or trying to) in a man made ('scientific' hahaha) production
maximising, profit maximising, endlessly diminishing cycle.
I think the 'mad cow disease' has woken many more people up in the UK to
the need for natural ecosystem food production methods. Working with
nature. The local Farmers Supply in Anglesey (Gwynedd, Wales) is to
start retailing organically produced feedstuffs. The 'mad cow disease'
really is a very serious crisis and I suggest that changes be made
urgently to a less stressful and natural setting for plants and animals.
