LSP Gathering

1996 LSP GATHERING TO FOCUS ON WATER

"Water" will be the theme of the Land Stewardship Project's (LSP) second annual
gathering for members Nov. 9 and 10 at Camp Omega in Waterville, Minn. The event
is open to LSP members only; call (612) 653-0618 or Email
devo0009@gold.tc.umn.edu for more information on joining LSP and registering for
the gathering.

This year's keynote speaker will be Dick Levins, a noted agricultural economist
who's done extensive research on sustainable farming and rural communities.
Levins authored the recently released LSP publication, "Monitoring
Sustainability with Conventional Financial Data." The gathering will feature
workshops on subjects ranging from wetlands to farm humor. The event will be
capped off with a field trip to the Minnesota River.

The Land Stewardship Project is a private, nonprofit organization with a mission
to foster an ethic of stewardship for farmland, to promote sustainable
agriculture and to develop sustainable communities.
