CONFERENCE; Profit through traffic control. 20 Nov

The Institution of Agricultural Engineers, with sponsorship from
FARMERS WEEKLY, is holding a one day conference and workshop entitled:
Profit through traffic control

Date; Wednesday 20 Nov. 1996
Venue; Silsoe College, Cranfield University, Silsoe, Bedford, UK.

The conference is aimed very specifically at the farming community and at
all cropping enterprises other than grass.

In these times, when machines are getting ever larger, we show how farm
profits are being steadily eroded by the soil damage which they cause.

There are alternative methods which allow the same level of mechanisation,
but which cut out wasteful practices and by so doing, increase work rates
and improve crop yield and quality. These practices also improve seedbed
quality and often preclude the need for expensive subsoiling operations.

Eight speakers will provide an extensive background to controlled traffic
operations in the morning session, while seven farmers will lead small
groups in an afternoon devoted to informal debate around the subject.

If you are interested in improving the profitability of your enterprise why
not come and join us next week to find out more.
