Oh really? So instead of lying to me, the food industry just doesn't
tell me that the fuit or vegetable that I am considering buying is:

- sprayed with chemicals I would not ingest by choice
- contaminated by human wastes (poor work conditions
       of the field workers)
- genetically altered

and who knows what else they are *not* telling me. But they are not
lying, just not informing. Lie of omission?

Instead of certifying organic growers, why don't we require the
non-organic growers to be completely truthful about what they're
selling to the consumer (me). How about they pay taxes to offset
the health problems caused by their produce? Ha! Dream on.

Meanwhile, I'll continue to grow as much of my own food as I can,
barter for my neighbors peaches, and buy from local farmers that
I can trust.

Just a consumer.
