Re: A Suggestion

Dear Marcie, Pat, and list,
I have been a list member of SANET since taking a sust. ag. course at
Cornell about a year ago. I hope to become more active on this list since
I am finally nearing the completion of my thesis where I had the
opportunity to interview 12 farmers in New York state who made changes on
their farms which some of them considered as "low-input", others "organic"
and yet others as "non-chemical" or "sustainable." These are their terms
and the study is their voices. I would like to be able to share - on
this list - what they
have taught me, an activist and educator committed to sustainable
agriculture, and what they have been busy teaching other farmers,
community members, and Extension personnel. I would like to do so,
because I think it is important when creating "solutions" to gather many
perspectives and to truly heed them in the process of change.

I would like to add my opinion that --
What Marcie took the time to think and write out is, I agree with Pat, a
nice place to start a systems approach to the list. Thank you Marcie for
the time and contribution.

Sincerely,

Kim Staritzky
