Re: Food Irradiation?
I know for sure that about 30 years ago or so, the US Army tried
irradiation and quit it, finding that it was not suitable. I know this for
sure, because I worked in a big industrial company library, and I read
the Army reports on this. It was so definite and so succinct that I have
never forgotten it, altho I cannot recall the actual paper references.
Anyone who wants those good data could look thru the Army literature and
find the definite reports as to why the Army gave up irradiating foods.
That should be worth while effort, to get a definitive support against
radiation.
Also Chemical Abstracts had info like that. Just go to a big univ library
and have the reference librarian show you which buttons to push on the
computer, and you will be showered with scads of literature reports. Easy,
fast and cheap
