That is certainly simple.  It has nothing to do with biology as a
science, maybe your "simple" concept of biology.  

I would think that it would be clear that a farmer without the support
of industry is a subsistence existence, at best.  Industry on a scale
to produce a wheat combine, for example, requires the infrastructure
provided towns and cities, your "parasites".
