Hydroponic History

I am attempting to chronicle the modern history of hydroponics. I have noted
a reference to a hydroponic operation on Wake island preceding World War II,
established and maintained by Pan American when Wake Island was a major
refuelling stop. This is very interesting as previous records only record
its practical revival during and after the war.

I think it important that modern hydroponic history is captured. If anyone
out there has any knowledge of early hydroponic work, I would be very
interested in hearing from you. Any observations among our senior Hawgs
would be appreciated.
