What's going on at the Piketon Research and Extension Center?

Have you asked yourself that question recently? The short answer is lots!
Specifically, the Horticulture Field Day is coming up next Tuesday, 3:00 PM,
June 17.

Anyone interested in learning more about the commercial production of small
fruits and vegetables should plan on getting to Piketon. Folks will start
gathering around 3:00 and the tour of the Horticulture research plots will
begin about 3:30 PM. Things of interest to see this year include how to
harvest tomatoes earlier, fertilizer management of peppers and cantaloupes,
using no-till planters to plant vegetables and a demonstration of the parts
needed for a drip irrigation system. There will also be opportunities to
view other Hort plots and meet the staff of the Piketon Research and
Extension Center.

Need directions of more information? Give us a call at 614-289-2071.

Refreshments will be provided!
