Re:Global Warming & permafrost etc.

New Settler Interview out of Willits CA had an interview last year with the couple who wrote the musical "Queen Salmon" who had been up to the Canadian Arctic researching their latest musical comedy, to be on global warming (and it should be done now, if they stayed on schedule, anyone hear?) While up there they were out in the bush and the Inuit they were with caught a walleye pike- the Midwest boy was the only one who had EVER seen one before. They say salmon species are displacing Arctic Char and Brown Bear are displacing Polar Bears. The Inuit are saying their traditional knowlege no longer works as to what's happening when and where they can go to hunt what.
Nice to know that due to geography (and Karma?) North America will be the climate hit hardest by global warming.......... (read Tim Flannery's _The Eternal Frontier_)
