Re: Microwaved food

Aloha,

To say more or less what's already been said from a different (eastern)
perspective, a (German) friend of mine who's an acupuncturist and
traditional Chinese medicine practitioner calls microwaves
"de-chi-ifiers" - as in, they take the chi ("life force," "vital energy,"
etc.) out of food (including water heated in them, to tie in to the water
thread... :-) . So for those who appreciate chi as an explanation, there's
a reason to not use them.

There's also a decent likelihood of increased production of estrogen
analogs when microwaving plastic containers, from heat and/or molecular
agitation.

As for more scientific studies - "science never proves anything," to quote
the late eminent scientist Gregory Bateson. Those who want microwaves will
do studies showing they're harmless, and those who don't want them will do
studies showing they're harmful.
