GBlist: LED/EL LIGHTING for office tower

Has anyone found a commercial or experimental source for developing LED
or electroluminescent lighting fixtures for office towers? Initial
discussions have occurred with one US company to explore a possible EL
prototype. Both LED and EL if practical, would represent dramatic energy
savings and other benefits far beyond that possible by relamping to T-8
fluorescents.

Which Canadian/US lighting supplier or independent company accepts old
fluorescents separate from, or as part of a relamping/recycling program? I
seem to recall the name "Evergreen"? Is anyone familiar with this company?

Did anyone read the article on LED lighting in Home Power Magazine?

Any practical experience, leads or comments are appreciated.
