Re: GBlist: Speaking of toilets

"Sloan Flushmate" is Sloan Valve's trade name for the internal parts of
"pressurized-tank" toilets. Almost all toilet manufacturers have a
pressurized-tank model in their line and Sloan manufactures most of the
internals.

Pressurized-tank toilets are more expensive than gravity-tank models
($200+), have a slightly noisier, but very short flush cycle, and will
almost never clog. Their mass clearance performance is better than 3.5
gallon (13 litre) toilets since they maintain a large trapway. IMHO,
preferred for light commercial installations and for large familities
who have members who either tend to use large amounts of paper, or who
are very young and enjoy playing "Power Ranger Action Toys Explore the
Undersea World" in the family toilet.
