hello out there. my name is bob and i'm the first stop on kathy jo's bus tour. i've never posted here before because i don't have a proper usenet connection but i thought i'd share a couple of quick comments on our heroine while she continues her journey.
first off, what she looks like. she is not fat. emphatically not. sure does like to eat though, you bet.
second off, you all are probably aware that she has the most excellent red hair. but what you might not know, those of you outside of pittsburgh where i know she is revered, is that she also has the most excellent eyes. they were the thing i first noticed when she was standing outside the bus station and the sun caught them. they kinda, this is corny, sparkled. real lively and full of emotion too, especially when she is talking which is often.
the most important thing though is that i have never met anybody who is so pure. by that i mean what you see when you are with her simply is. pretty zen and all. there is no baloney (though we had some fried), i can't even call it honesty, because that would imply that there are times when she isn't honest. when you read her or hear her, she exists, a real basic gal laying herself out there for all of us to try and gain the message that we as humans are most excellent and we shouldn't treat each other the way we sometimes do. if it means helping other humans through welfare or telling how you feel or simply just being with them in the course of our days, then that is the real lovolution, much elevated beyond the neutopian model.
it was a real trip seeing my world thru this woman's eyes, as if everything was new and worthy (and for her it was). i'm not gonna go all goopy and say i fell madly and want to sell all my worldly posessions and migrate to pittsburgh. first off, she'd hate that. secondly, i've got enough shit going on here in my little corner of the cholesterol capitol of the world (her phrase) so i'm here for the duration. plus, she's kind of indifferent to cats, so that's a drawback. just kidding. all i know is that wherever i go, i will take her message of, yes, peace and love and openness with me, and apply it to my own relationships and life.
btw, it is really instructive to see the columns in their original context in in pittsburgh the way their creator intended. plus, there's a lot of fun little things that we don't get to see in cyberia. i urge you all to subscribe.
for those of you on the tour, make sure you have plenty of cream and sugar for her coffee. i mean like copious amounts.
i miss her already. love ya, jojo. godspeed and all that.
shame on all you dufresnes and chens and others who feel the need to spread some venom this way. this is one woman who doesn't deserve it. unlike those of us who treat the net as an amusement park he uses it because she has to. her art is her life and her life her art and she is putting herself out there because that is what artists do. we should all be so pure.
Bob
