Dreamweaver: Creating a Web Site

About this Document

Dreamweaver is considered the standard hypertext markup language (html) editor among web professionals because it can produce highly functional web documents in a short time. With Dreamweaver, the user can work either directly with html code or in a graphic editing environment. Although Dreamweaver can accomplish many difficult tasks - such as writing Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) - it is relatively easy to use.

By the way, do not use Microsoft's FrontPage to create your site. Although it may seem easier to use at first, it is limited in its design capabilities and cross-platform compatibility, and "professional" designers look down on it. Stick with Dreamweaver, or Adobe's GoLive, the industry standards for professionals.
