I have just had one of the more pleasurable experiences of my life: smoking a Camel Filter over the Atlantic, traveling at 689 mph at 33,000 feet. I had steak, with an excellent red wine, for dinner. I am among friends, journeying to Moscow, realizing that what I called "an insane method of transportation" earlier, during our initial takeoff from Raleigh, is still insane, but definitely also fun.
I guess I've rediscovered my enjoyment of flying. But I'm definitely flying Delta from now on.

Kelly is a born people-meeter. She seems to have intimate knowledge very quickly of any strangers around her; the girl next to her seemed perfectly comfortable sharing that she's newly pregnant. Where does Kelly Jo get the ability to be so incredibly related (for lack of a better word) to those around her? I admire it. Ah, well.
I've been pretty nervous about this trip, but my fear dissolves by the minute, and the farther I get from North Carolina the more secure I feel. We shall see.
