Ok this is like the only pic I could really find of the unit

Post if you find more or if you model it.

I believe Missleman01 has already modeled one of these.

I'll ask him if he'd be willing to share it.

Hi there, I'm a big fan of the things you guys are doing here, and humbly submit to you a REP mesh if you guys want it.

That's just what I did today between Fluid Dynamics Class and Differential Equations. (I'm an Aerospace Engineer in training) If you guys like it I can get you the gmax file and the orbiter mesh.  The poly count comes up to around 2400, don't know if that's too much or too little, but it can be reduced or detailed as needed.  Sadly I'm extremely unskilled at texturing so I'm afraid I can't help much there, even though I do enjoy modelling the actual things.

I didn't have any of the actual dimensions so if anyone has those, I'll scale it to match real life.

Thanks but we already have a rep mesh, avaliable at http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/beta/project_gemini_beta.zip

We have meshes for the ATDA of Gemini 9 as well which I am still working on. (My job has me jammed up really good for Jan and Feb)

One thing we could use is more custom backend of the gemini for each of the mission. Plus a AMU and a gemini astro with a AMU. If you look at the beta release you will see that the back end has been modified for the REP pod.

Thanks
Rob Conley

I'm assuming that by backend you mean the rear of the equipment pod?  (I'm downloading the beta now to see what you mean)

And, you wouldn't happen to have any really good reference materials on the APU would you?  (Typically, I've found that the people on this site have some really good reference materials.)  I'm guessing that I'd be able to extract the Gemini astronaut and modify him to have an APU on him correct?  Because I'm not very well versed in the programming side, I'm a bit unsure if you're saying you need two seperate meshes for the APU and astronaut or if you want an APU mesh and a combo (APU/astro) mesh.

I'd be glad to work on these for you.  Like I said, I'm a big fan of what is being done here.

Swatch try http://www.geocities.com/bobandrepont/geminipdf.htm for info on Gemini.  Hope this helps.
