1  Project Apollo - NASSP / Support & Bugs / Re: Crawler Transporter CTD on: September 04, 2008, 05:25:50 PM
Thanks for pointing that out and the scenario, I fixed the bug in CVS. Can you compile the module by yourself?
By the way, you and the other Space Shuttle Ultra guys are doing a great job, keep it up!  Thumbs Up

Cheers
Tschachim
Thanks! Any idea how it might have gotten broken? If I recall correctly, there haven't been any changes since I left.
2  Project Apollo - NASSP / Support & Bugs / Crawler Transporter CTD on: September 04, 2008, 12:52:05 PM
Was a while ago since I last posted here. Like to report a bug with the Crawler Transporter. A CTD bug to be more specific. Have managed to isolate it down to the STANDALONE parameter in the scenario file.

It seems like that paramater is no longer valid, is that so? Always get a CTD with it and the Apollo vessles(MSS, pad, ML and LV) is not present in the scenario.

Would like to see a return of this parameter to test out my new CT meshes. Scenario file in question is attached to this post for dissection and forencics.

This also raises an interesting historical question, why was 'Apollo 2' (AS-258) planned as a dual launch mission?
Maybe because the Saturn 1(and later 1B) did not have the suffienct performance to lift both the CSM and LM. Hence the need for the much more powerfull Saturn V to eliminate EOR and just go with LOR.

F4 and Select ship.

Apassi

Faster way: F3. You should really read the Orbiter manual.

New crawler meshes committed. Both meshes now have reduced mesh groups. The drive truck lighting problem have been fixed. Also, there's now only one drive truck mesh inetad of the previous for in the center coordinates(0,0,0).

so I hope we'll fix all that sooner or later. Meanwhile I fear you need to control the SIV-B manually by switching vessels.
Or you can try the default Remote vessel control plug-in(Rcontrol). It takes some time to get used to.

the textured materials are wrong (i.e. not white).
Need a screenshot of this so I can troubleshoot.

That's like a wise choice. But then you have to fiddle with offsets just line them up with the main body.

EDIT: Did you send them already? I had some mail problems recently...
No. I didn't see this reply until today as the forum software didn't label it as new until about now! Packing it and sending it now.

Question....are the drive trucks different? or are they just the same mesh 4 times over?
They're the same.

Edit: Textures committed.

Nice soundfile. It would need splitting up however as it takes a good 30 minutes for it jack itself up to pick-up height where it just makes contact with the MLP. From there on it takes another 30 minutes for it jack itself up to lift-off height where the MLP is resting soley on the Crawler and not the MLP stands.
