Hi Apollo fans,

a new beta modules pack is available here: http://nassp.sf.net/wiki/Installation. Please make sure that Orbiter 2006-P1 and OrbiterSound 3.5 is installed. Also please make sure that you do a CVS Update of all directories, that means the Config, Doc, Meshes, Orbitersdk, Scenarios, Sound and Textures directories.

This beta introduces a couple of new features:

  • For me personally the coolest new feature is irnenginer's new Moon ephemeris pad load, i.e. now the Virtual AGC knows where the Moon is, which is quite important obviously, since we want to fly to the Moon sometime: http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforum/index.php?topic=1175.0 This feature is available for Apollo 7 only at the moment, start a new mission using the Project Apollo - NASSP\Virtual AGC\Apollo  7 - Launch scenario in order to try that.

  • Related to that there are new telescope and sextant panels with a couple of new controls and thanks to Artlav the sextant now has a realistic FOV of 2, see attached screenshot and here: http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforum/index.php?topic=1262.0

  • The ECS has been extended to handle entry and landing properly, also there are a couple of new entry/splashdown related features, see attached screenshots and here: http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforum/index.php?topic=1209.0

  • ... and a couple of small fixes and improvements I can't remember anymore...  Happy

Have fun, comments and questions are always welcome!

Cheers
Tschachim
