Hey Apollo fans.  The time is here again.

That's right, the new Project Apollo Beta has been released.  You can download it here:  Make sure you have Orbiter 2001 P1 and Orbiter Sound 3.5 installed to make this work properly.

included in this bugfix release are fixes to:

  • Bug causing Orbiter to crash during staging when flying the Saturn 1B with low resolution meshes has been fixed.
  • Bug causing LM to fly everywhere but towards the CSM has been fixed.  The CSM should still be in a stable circular orbit above 100 kms, but now the LM will actually be able to rendezvous properly.
  • And a few other fixes that I had written down and now have lost the sticky note they were written on.

With this pack it should be entirely possible to get to the moon, land, and get back in one piece.
