That's right folks, it's that time again, and have we got a show for you!

IMPORTANT: Make sure you do a CVS update of AT LEAST your meshes, textures, and scenario folders.  Updating the rest would be good too, but changes are minimal.

This release will only work properly with Orbiter 2006-P1 and OrbiterSound 3.5

For more details on how to install NASSP beta, or where to find important data, see http://nassp.sourceforge.net/wiki/Installation

So, what's new?  Lots of things.  The following list is by no means inclusive.  I did the best I could to compile a list of new features.

Features: Split lower panel --- Many new panels/panel graphics --- ProjectApollo MFD can read IMFD --- EMS scroll --- Several changes to meshes/textures to improve the appearance of the S-1B launches --- Project Apollo MFD can now read mission time from the Crawler Transporter. === Bug Fixes: Bug concerning shift key not getting to MFD fixed.
Features:
  • Split lower panel
Is the G&N bay to big for your monitor?  Or simply drags your computer down?  Well, we now offer a split version like with the main panels.  Simply open the Project Apollo Configurator and select split for the G&N bay as well.
  • Many new panels/panel graphics
For all the details go here: http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforum/index.php?topic=848.0 (note: Most important information starts around page 35)
  • ProjectApollo MFD can read IMFD
We can now do an accurate TLI by having PAMFD and IMFD work together.  Details here: http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforum/index.php?topic=1431.0
  • EMS scroll
Partially Implemented.  The logic is in progress.  But it works, and generates close to realistic data!  Details here: http://www.ibiblio.org/mscorbit/mscforum/index.php?topic=1097.0
  • Several changes to meshes/textures to improve the appearance of the S-1B launches
Crazy as it may seem, Apollo doesn't yet look good enough to us, so we made it look a little better!  Ok, so it's still a work in progress, but the Saturn 1B should now be about the right height.  This requires an update to the meshes and textures folders along with the new modules.
  • Project Apollo MFD can now read mission time from the Crawler Transporter.
I've found that this comes in quite handy during the rollout or assembly scenarios (which aren't working 100% yet, but we're getting there).

Bug Fixes:
  • Bug concerning shift key not getting to MFD fixed.
That's right, there was one major bugfix in this release.  When in the CSM, the shift key would occasionally get eaten before being able to be read by the MFD's.  This was caused due to the use of the shift key in the lower equipment bay to drive the min-impulse hand controller.  It has now been corrected to only consume the shift key when the hand controller is actually triggered (only in the sextant/telescope views).

Amazing  Happy  Excited!

One rather large bug though - the food lockers in the new panels are empty. I would like hash browns, hotdogs and the strawberry cheesecake please  Wink

How about "Roast beef and other assorted goodies?"  (Quote from Fred Haise aboard Apollo 13, during the Captain's sleep cycle)
